I always wanted to paint these flaming red flowers growing in the common area of our apartment society. These beauties are called Crown of Thorns, interesting name and so was the process to paint them. I composed this still life arrangement on a sunny afternoon when sunlight was peeping though my bedroom window. As I completed this painting at my slow pace, I noticed that these flowers in the garden had turned brown. I preserved their blazing youth  on paper.
