Cherries are such beautiful subjects to photopraph and paint. I photographed the reference for this still life on late afternoon when sunlight was flooding my room. The brilliant red colour of cherries with rich wood colour and a dark background makes this a perfect composition that I enoyed rendering in watercolors.
